Bright and Blue Transformation

Project Goals:

  • Remove a cramped and never-used half bathroom to provide additional space for a kitchen expansion.
  • Lengthen the kitchen footprint within the “U” shape to give more space for food preparation and storage.
  • Remove the ceiling soffits and hanging ceiling cabinets that were part of making the kitchen feel cramped.

Project Overview

This kitchen remodel project focused on transforming a cramped, outdated layout into an open, modern culinary space. To create more room and improve functionality, we removed an underutilized cramped half-bathroom, which allowed us to significantly expand the kitchen’s footprint as well as provide space for more storage with a set of pantry cabinets. The new layout features semi-custom two-tone painted cabinetry that maximizes storage and complements the home's aesthetic, along with sleek, low-maintenance quartz countertops that add both style and durability. Luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the kitchen space, offering the warmth of wood with enhanced water resistance and durability—ideal for a high-traffic area like the kitchen. Updated lighting fixtures, including recessed lights and stylish pendant lights over the peninsula, brighten the space and enhance its contemporary feel. This remodel not only elevated the kitchen’s design and usability, but also added lasting value to the home.
