The Design-Build Remodeling Process
Your home remodeling experience will be a direct reflection of the process of your remodel. From start to finish, it is important to have a well-defined process to ensure you receive a quality remodeling experience.

Odd Fellows Contracting's process is based on the Design-Build method of remodeling. Design-Build is proven to be the smoothest, most efficient experience for both the homeowner and contractor.

STEP 1
Discovery
Your remodeling journey starts with Discovery.
After a brief phone call with one of our Remodeling Consultants to discuss your goals for the project, we will meet for an in-home consultation to review your project scope, budget, and timeline.
While we meet, we will answer questions, evaluate your space, and gather information relevant to assist in providing preliminary budget guidance. We will review our process and steps that it will take to create a plan for how you can move forward to accomplish your remodeling goals.
What You Receive in Step 1: DISCOVERY
- Free in-home consultation with our experienced Remodeling Consultant
- Free initial preliminary budget review of your project
- Basic evaluation of your space to review the requirements and feasibility of your prospective remodel
- A step by step guide to help you plan the next steps begin your remodeling journey
STEP 2
Project Design
Project Design is the most crucial step to set your project up for success. During Design Development, our talented Remodeling Specialists take your dream and turn it into a plan.
Your Remodeling Specialist will take you through our checklist of required details to determine the full project scope and product selections. There are a lot of details to coordinate, from paint color to cabinet door style. We will work with you along the way to ensure that your project goals, and target budget are considered to ensure the best possible experience.
This is a fun, interactive process where you get to see the remodel come to life. Once all project details are finalized, you will be ready to sign the construction contract and start on scheduling the project.
What You Receive in Step 2: PROJECT DESIGN
- A dedicated Remodeling Specialist/Designer to guide you through material selection and project requirements
- Meetings at your home and at our Design Showroom to review design option and review project budget
- As-built drawings of your existing home to assist with creation of remodeling construction drawings *
- Design concepts and 3-D renderings created by your Remodeling Specialist/Designer to visually see your upcoming remodel come to life *
- Access to our award-winning team of certified kitchen and bath designers along and space planners
- Recommendations on materials, trends, and design guidance in planning your space to meet your current and future needs
* As-built and construction drawings and renderings created during Project Design remain the property of Odd Fellows Contracting until construction contract has been signed.
STEP 3
Production
Our production phase is when you get to see the results of the hard work in organizing the information up front. Our production team will continue to work with you to keep you informed of the progress of your remodeling project, answer any questions, and maintain a clean work environment in your home.
Pre-Production
After Design, you will enter into Pre-Production where all materials are ordered, construction drawings and details are finalized, permits are obtained, and your project is scheduled.
Our production team will meat internally with your Remodeling Specialist to ensure a thorough handoff of all information. They will also schedule and conduct an on-site walkthrough to guarantee a smooth project handoff.
Production
As you enter into the production phase, your Project Foreman will be your direct point of contact and will manage the remodel directly. Our production team will keep you posted on progress and schedule details so you will always know what is going on with your remodel.
What You Receive in Step 3: PRODUCTION
- A designated Project Foreman to communicate on a regular basis and manage your project throughout construction
- Access to an online schedule to see schedule of work including anticipated start and completion dates
- Quick responses to questions by Project Foreman or Production Manager
- Access to your full set of Design Plans, renderings, documents to be provided through your exclusive customer portal
- A clean and well-maintained work environment
STEP 4
FULFILLMENT
One of the reasons that many of us in the remodeling industry got into this line of work was to be a part of an amazing transformation. We love creating beautiful spaces. Even more important, we love seeing a happy client completely satisfied with their remodeled home. We get to fulfill our promise to make beautiful changes in your home.
At the end of the project, we want your space to be move-in ready. We will provide professional cleaning to leave your space fresh and ready to love. After our closing appointment, we will schedule your 6-month and 12-month reviews to ensure that you still love your space.
You will always have priority status for any additional project, maintenance work through our Handyman Division, Odd Jobs, or quick response to any warranty requests.
We want you experience to be truly remarkable and live by the phrase of "best, most right way possible". We know it isn't correct grammar, but we are Odd, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
What You Receive in Step 4: FULFILLMENT
- Professional cleaning at end of project to leave your space ready to enjoy
- A 6-month and 12-month quality check phone call to ensure you still love your space
- A closing appointment to review your experience and turn over warranty and product care documents
- Priority status for handyman services through our Odd Jobs Home Improvement service
