- Turn the outdated oak wood cabinets kitchen into an updated space through new materials and design.
- Brighten the space through updated flooring.
- Replace microwave above stove with exterior venting hood.
- Update design of the island to provide more functional space.

Project Overview
This Lansing kitchen remodel included a full demolition of the existing kitchen cabinets, flooring, drywall, etc. to prepare for the kitchen update. The main goal was to brighten the kitchen and make some improvements to the overall kitchen functionality. One specific change was to remove the microwave from above the range and install an exterior venting vent hood. The microwave was moved to the island and all other appliances stayed in their previous location. The flooring was updated to get away from the presence of so much dark oak throughout the home as a means to further brighten the kitchen.
