Tearing Down Walls
Project Goals:
- Remove the wall between the kitchen and the family room to open space and create an open concept kitchen plan.
- Combine dining room space and kitchen space to create room for a large island.
- Update flooring throughout floor with premium vinyl plank flooring.
- Install quartz countertop on oversized island.
- Move location of range to downdraft stove/oven in the island.

Project Overview
The remodel started with the homeowner having issues with a bug infestation below the kitchen area. While doing the remodel, the goal was to also open up the space by removing a non-load bearing wall and to create a kitchen great room space. Full gut and remodel of Okemos kitchen to replace with new open concept kitchen. The kitchen remodel includes a combination of hickory and painted cabinets, new quartz countertop, tile backsplash, and updated flooring.
