- Keep existing historic tile floor and refinish to bring back original vibrance and color.
- Create a large kitchen island for seating for the family.
- Update the layout with improved storage.
- Create a coffee bar area with a space to keep their collection of mugs.

Project Overview
After purchasing this 1924 landmark home in Okemos, the customers wanted to create the kitchen of their dreams. The home is perfect for entertaining and wanted a kitchen that would be the hub of their daily lives. Their goal was to keep the existing flooring to pay homage to the heritage and history of the home. Full gut and update of the kitchen which includes all new premium cabinets, new quartz countertop, tile backsplash, and electrical updates. The island was a wonderful focus with the integrated and beautifully finished walnut footrest. The tile flooring was refinished to clean up the tile and grout and liven up the finish and appearance.
