Structural Safety in Deck Design
Project Goals:
- Replace a sagging and unsafe roof overhang. Included replacement of a large portion of the existing roof.
- Update the structure of the deck along with the decking with new composite low maintenance decking.
- Replace the stairs and railing.
- Add a privacy screen.

Project Overview
The existing deck and roof were dangerous and needed to be fixed so they could enjoy the outdoors again! Removal of an existing deck and covered roof area. The existing roof was having major sagging issues due to improper support. The scope was to remove that area, redo the deck including the deck substructure with a new Trex composite deck and update the roof and overhang.
