From Faded Deck to Forever Deck
Project Goals:
- Update the layout of the angled stairs area for improved safety and more symmetrical design.
- Replace all deck structure and decking.
- Replace all railing with low-maintenance composite railing.

Project Overview
The existing deck had a strange stair layout that was difficult to use. Additionally, the deck was starting to show its age and was in need of being redone. The goal was slip resistance, longevity, and aesthetic. The new Trex decking and railing provided all of those aspects and the updated layout gave more usable space within a similar footprint. Another goal was for gates to keep dogs in their area and for separation of space. Demolition of the existing pressure treated deck with an update of the design with new Trex Composite deck, railing, and skirting around the perimeter.
