This summer marks 37 years since Odd Fellows Contracting was officially founded—and we’re celebrating in true Odd Fellows style: with Hot Dog Thursdays! 🌭
Join us every fourth Thursday of the summer months (June through August) as we fire up the grill and open our doors to clients, neighbors, and curious locals. Whether you’re a past client, considering a remodel, or just love a good hot dog—we’d love to see you here.
But why hot dogs? And more importantly… why “Odd Fellows”?
Well, the answer to that goes back to 1988, when two very different guys—David Fox from New Jersey and Bret Oleksyn from right here in Michigan—teamed up to do small evening handyman jobs. What started as side work quickly became a busy business. Before long, they needed a builder’s license—and with that came the need for a name.
Everything they brainstormed sounded generic… until Bret jokingly said, “We’re just a couple of fellows doing odd jobs.” That moment stuck. And so Odd Fellows Contracting was born.
Their “odd” way of meeting and working together proved to be just the beginning. Clients were surprised—and delighted—by how reliable and honest these two were. They showed up. They followed through. They kept their word. That kind of “odd” behavior set the tone for the legacy we’re still building today.
So stop by, grab a hot dog, and say hello!
It’s our way of saying thank you for 37 years of support, trust, and referrals. We wouldn’t be here without you.
